CKS Gallery presents Shades of Light, an exhibition bringing together works by leading contemporary Chinese artists who explore themes of materiality, perception, and abstraction. The “Disruptions” exhibition delves into the early days of video art in Switzerland and its European connections during the 1970s. Presented in a two-part format, it highlights how video reshaped the visual arts of that era through experimentation and innovation, encompassing performances, installations, and critiques of television. Works from the FMAC collection engage with European pieces, uncovering influences and serendipities.
Invited by the MAH, the “la Caixa” Foundation proposes, through the works of eighteen artists from its collection, an exploration of contemporary art through the prism of the past with L’image revenante. Inspired by the world of Marcel Duchamp, this exhibition explores the ways in which artists confront art history and tradition: through homage, quotation, parody or opposition. Works by Mike Kelley, Vanessa Beecroft, Cindy Sherman, Julian Schnabel, Antonio Saura and Sherrie Levine are presented for the first time in Geneva, the historic center of the Reformation and of debates on the power and persistence of images.

Scottish artist Karla Black presents her first solo exhibition at Galerie Mezzanin, exploring the tension between material experience and self-perception. Through sculptural works that engage with mirrors, paint, and physical presence, Black challenges the historical evolution of self-consciousness—from the reflective surfaces of the past to today’s omnipresent digital screens. Drawing on philosophical and historical references, her work seeks to disrupt the “spell” of modern self-awareness, inviting a return to a more tactile, unmediated engagement with the world.
Marie de Villepin presents “Le jardin retrouvé,” an exhibition that delves into memory and resilience through works symbolizing an almost vanished yet enduring garden. Each painting seeks to restore memories and reconcile with a fragmented past, highlighting the struggle against forgetting. The artist transforms ruins into testimonies of humanity, emphasizing the rebirth of a world in constant flux.
In collaboration with the Photo Elysée Museum, the “Dialogues On Humanity” exhibition explores how photography can deepen our understanding of humanitarian principles. Through five themed sections, the images encourage reflection on global crises and the significance of humanitarian efforts. Each set of photographs is paired with questions to stimulate dialogue and invite visitors to share their reactions. This project is a joint effort by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Photo Elysée Museum, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
