Whales, both captivating and mysterious, have intrigued the human imagination for centuries, from the mythical Leviathan to the legendary Moby Dick. In contemporary times, they have come to represent ecology and peacefulness. This one-hour lecture, held by the Festival Histoire et Cité in collaboration with Éditions La Baconnière, takes place at the Bibliothèque de Genève and delves into the evolving depiction of whales, bridging mythical stories and scientific understanding.

As part of the Festival Histoire et Cité, the Bibliothèque de Genève is hosting an intimate session with naturalist artist Pierre Baumgart, showcasing his finest ornithological works. This exclusive event is limited to 20 participants and requires prior registration.
