Children’s Treasure Hunt

The Barbier-Mueller Museum is hosting a children’s treasure hunt titled “Explore the World.” This two-part workshop invites young participants to uncover the origins of artworks and pinpoint their locations on a map, followed by solving puzzles to locate hidden pieces within the museum.

This pop musical by Lou Ciszewski combines a Broadway flair, glitter, and joy to create an uplifting experience.

4 – 6 April

The Conservatoire de Musique de Genève opens its doors to the public for a unique exploration of music and theater. This immersive event invites visitors of all ages to discover the richness of musical education through concerts, performances, instrument demonstrations, and interactive workshops. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned music enthusiast, the Open House Marathon offers a chance to experience the dynamic world of the Conservatory, meet passionate musicians, and take part in engaging activities.

Registrations for the Conservatoire courses are open over the weekend: You can register directly on the 1st floor, across from the stairs, in the director’s office, on Saturday 5 April from 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 6 April from 10:00 to 15:00.

Saturday 5 April, 10:00 – 13:00

As part of their Open House Marathon, the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève offers instrument discovery workshops designed for all ages. These interactive sessions provide a unique opportunity to explore different instruments, engage with teachers and students, and gain insight into the Conservatoire’s diverse musical programs. Young children can enjoy a playful introduction to music, while older participants can try out instruments, attend a music theory class, or even join a collective improvisation session. A perfect way to experience the joy of making music in an inspiring environment.

15 March – 12 April

This chess workshop, led by experienced instructors and international masters, offers tailored lessons for different age groups and skill levels. Young players will learn the basics, discover tactical combinations, and develop strategic thinking, while advanced participants will refine their skills. Each child receives a personalized exercise book to track progress and continue learning at home. The program concludes with a friendly competition, with the winner taking home the “Société de Lecture” trophy. The workshop promotes memory, concentration, patience, and fair play.
