Birdwatching Walk – Discovering Our Feathered Neighbors

Join Laurent Vallotton, an ornithologist from the Natural History Museum of Geneva, for a walk through the Plainpalais neighborhood to learn how to identify and catalog birds. This activity is an opportunity to map the bird species present each year and uncover the richness of urban biodiversity. The event is co-organized by the BiodiverCité Plainpalais Collective.

The MEG invites young children, along with an adult, to an engaging interactive journey through its permanent exhibition. The little ones will explore Oceania, learning about the significance of sharks to the Torres Islands and Aboriginal culture through fascinating objects and stories.

In this new film by André Kadi and Marya Zarif, Dounia embarks on further adventures in Canada, exploring a new culture and the wild landscapes. With the help of her new friends, Rosalie and Miguizou, she realizes her heart is connected to the world’s heart. She uses this revelation to guide her father in Syria to join her. The screening will be followed by a reception. This event is presented in partnership with Hospice Général, the city of Grand-Saconnex, and the Barbour Foundation.

Théotime Serre, a media designer, offers a fun workshop on creating 3D landscapes using modeling clay. The sculptures will be digitized and incorporated into a video game, allowing participants to explore interactive volumes and worlds, with no prior experience required.
