The Pavillon Sicli is a cultural space housed within a 1960’s architectural gem in the historic Sicli industrial complex. Renovated to meet contemporary needs while preserving its industrial heritage, the pavilion serves as a versatile venue for a wide array of cultural events. From conferences to dance performances and exhibitions, the programming revolves around themes deeply rooted in architecture and urbanism.
The Pavillon Sicli Foundation is hosting architect Maria Sommer (Dorte Mandrup Studio). Established in 1999 in Copenhagen, this agency is renowned for its innovative architectural approach that is mindful of ecosystems, ensuring its buildings blend seamlessly into their surroundings. With a team of about 80 employees, the firm has completed remarkable projects like the Wadden Sea Centre and the Icefjord Center, and is currently working on the Museum of Exile in Berlin. Dorte Mandrup has been recognized by the Swedish-Danish Cultural Foundation for her impact on Scandinavian architecture.
