The Bibliothèque de Genève presents an immersive exhibition detailing the 1965 relocation of the Natural History Museum’s collections from Les Bastions to Malagnou. A photographic installation captures this remarkable transfer of bears, rhinoceroses, and other specimens. The exhibition highlights the historical charm of the library’s 19th-century spaces.

The musical show “La vie est en-chantée!” is set in Dr. Edith Moitou’s office.  The story follows Rémi, who speaks only in rhyme, and Mila, who has lost her voice, as they meet and learn to turn their differences into strengths. This pop musical by Lou Ciszewski combines a Broadway flair, glitter, and joy to create an uplifting experience.

4 – 6 April

The Conservatoire de Musique de Genève opens its doors to the public for a unique exploration of music and theater. This immersive event invites visitors of all ages to discover the richness of musical education through concerts, performances, instrument demonstrations, and interactive workshops. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned music enthusiast, the Open House Marathon offers a chance to experience the dynamic world of the Conservatory, meet passionate musicians, and take part in engaging activities.

Registrations for the Conservatoire courses are open over the weekend: You can register directly on the 1st floor, across from the stairs, in the director’s office, on Saturday 5 April from 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 6 April from 10:00 to 15:00.

Saturday 5 April, 10:30

Join an animation workshop with Liliana Dias, where you’ll craft a story by using sand on a light table. Employ your fingers, brushes, straws, and other tools to bring your collective creation to life. The sand becomes your canvas, giving way to your imagination and storytelling. Led by filmmaker and camera operator Liliana Dias.

Kids ages 11 and up.

Saturday 5 April, 10:00 – 13:00

As part of their Open House Marathon, the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève offers instrument discovery workshops designed for all ages. These interactive sessions provide a unique opportunity to explore different instruments, engage with teachers and students, and gain insight into the Conservatoire’s diverse musical programs. Young children can enjoy a playful introduction to music, while older participants can try out instruments, attend a music theory class, or even join a collective improvisation session. A perfect way to experience the joy of making music in an inspiring environment.
