Children’s Treasure Hunt

The Barbier-Mueller Museum is hosting a children’s treasure hunt titled “Explore the World.” This two-part workshop invites young participants to uncover the origins of artworks and pinpoint their locations on a map, followed by solving puzzles to locate hidden pieces within the museum.

The Conservatoire de Musique de Genève opens its doors to the public for a unique exploration of music and theater. This immersive event invites visitors of all ages to discover the richness of musical education through concerts, performances, instrument demonstrations, and interactive workshops. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned music enthusiast, the Open House Marathon offers a chance to experience the dynamic world of the Conservatory, meet passionate musicians, and take part in engaging activities.

Registrations for the Conservatoire courses are open over the weekend: You can register directly on the 1st floor, across from the stairs, in the director’s office, on Saturday 5 April from 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 6 April from 10:00 to 15:00.

4 – 13 April

The musical show “La vie est en-chantée!” is set in Dr. Edith Moitou’s office.  The story follows Rémi, who speaks only in rhyme, and Mila, who has lost her voice, as they meet and learn to turn their differences into strengths. This pop musical by Lou Ciszewski combines a Broadway flair, glitter, and joy to create an uplifting experience.

In French.  Kids ages 8 and up.

5 and 6 April

The Fabulous Story of BasarKus follows a unique creature, BasarKus, with two heads, multiple legs, and many arms, living in harmony with itself. However, upon discovering it has two hearts, BasarKus begins to question its identity. The creature embarks on an adventurous journey with its other half, exploring the idea of unity and separation. As they try to break apart and experience life individually, they confront their fears and discover their true selves.

This circus and dance performance features a dynamic duo, Markus (juggling) and Basil (acrobats), who create a seamless fusion of their art forms. The show delves into themes of identity, hybridity, and the transition from symbiosis to individuality.

Kids ages 3 and up.

Saturday 5 April, 10:30

Join an animation workshop with Liliana Dias, where you’ll craft a story by using sand on a light table. Employ your fingers, brushes, straws, and other tools to bring your collective creation to life. The sand becomes your canvas, giving way to your imagination and storytelling. Led by filmmaker and camera operator Liliana Dias.

Kids ages 11 and up.
